Three Stars:
- Erik Gustafsson
- Michal Roszival
- Mark McNeill
Yep. For the second time this month, Roszival didn’t play and was a star of the game. Because we were just plain awful last night. The only two truly decent players who played like they wanted to be on the ice were Mark McNeill, playing his first game, and Erik Gustafsson, who continues to be impressive. And by impressive, I mean he had a 0 +/- in 21 minutes on ice.
That’s the highlight of last night. Those who got 0 +/-. The Blackhawks did not want to play last night, and it showed. No one played well, and Corey Crawford, our best goalie, was pulled after three goals in the first period. Not that Scott Darling did any better.
Ugh. That is not the game we should be playing. We suck against the American South, and that’s something we’re going to have to figure out because if we get to the Cup Finals, guranteed our opponent will be one of three teams: Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Florida Panthers. All from the American South.
Next game is in February. Enjoy the All Star Break.
Oh, also, Jonathon Toews should not play in that game. Just saying.
