Three Stars:
- Duncan Keith
- Corey Crawford
- Michal Roszival
You know it’s bad when I’m putting two players who didn’t play yesterday on the three stars list. Because them not playing was better than those who were playing.
The Blackhawks have looked rough the last two games. They flat out sucked. It may be time to turn on the blender, because the first and third lines have lost production and that worries me.
Both Tampa and Florida are beatable teams. To go on a losing streak (our first in a while) against these two teams is an embarrassment. To not even put up a goal against the young Florida team, it’s a shock and I hate it and never want to see it again.
Look, I know he played the night before, but when Darling allowed two in five minutes Crawford should have been put into the game. It would have sparked the team and at the very least we wouldn’t have lost 4-0. Look, our team has one extremely good goalie, one who is currently vying for the Vezina. We also have a goalie we don’t play well in front of and even though he’s a perfectly decent goalie he’s not Corey Crawford. Corey Crawford should have gone into the game. I’m done with management making mistakes.
Shaw toughed out an injury, and that’s the only good thing I saw out of the first line. The two dependable players on it were after that playing through disadvantage and Hossa is aging, and hasn’t been the same this season.
The third line is rapidly disappearing offensively. They’re addition to the game was being the only people who weren’t scored on, apart from Keith.
Someone on the second line needs to step it up defensively. Because when they’re not scoring there’s nothing good on that line.
The dog days have come again. I thought we could avoid it this season but I was sadly mistaken. It’ll be over by March but this is the worst part of the year. We need a spark, so look forward to that deadline deal Bowman will be hunting for. Hopefully somebody like Keith Yandle from the Rangers.
