Darling bailed us out a few moments last night. Other than that, this was the night of the Andrews, both Ladd and Shaw, both wanting a place on the Blackhawks roster next year. Only one of them truly deserves it and will come at a team friendly price. Let’s get into it.

So… the only Hawk who wanted you to have a truly happy Valentine’s Day was Brent Seabrook. Everybody else doesn’t believe in the corporate holiday. The Blackhawks dropped a third straight game and also will be missing Marian Hossa the next few weeks. Let’s get into it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Stars 2/6
Three Stars: Artem Anisimov, 1 G, 3 A, 4 P Corey Crawford, 37 SA, SV .973 Artemi Panarin, 2 A Well. We’re clearly better than the Stars. At least right now. They’re lacking in defense and goaltending has showed itself, and the Vezina candidate Crawford was in full force. This is gonna be a fun rest of the season. And oh, by the way, we’re back on a winning streak….

After missing the game against Arizona (a game we still won) Toews entered last night having not played well recently and being benched for the ASG because of the flu. We’re back. Three lines are productive. It’s an amazing thing to have a talented player like Shaw on the third line. Makes everyone around him better. There’s a reason the shutdown fourth is not as good this year. There’s also a reason Bryan Bickell isn’t at a -2 right now. Shaw-Rasmussen-Bickell can do some damage (literally, Bickell’s hit on Byfuglien.. damn) but Shaw-Rasmussen-Dano could be the best third line in the league. Dano needs to be on this team.

Three Stars: 1. Kane – Patrick Kane 2. G – Artem Anisimov 3. B – Artemi Panarin So this is what this year has been brought to. One line is productive. That’s not great.
