Kane’s streak: extended

This is what should happen versus the Canucks. This is a complete game of hockey. We have three productive lines, and gone are the days of reliance on the second. Bryan Bickell is actually playing really well now too, so that’s good.

But nobody is playing better than Corey Crawford over his last four starts. A .50 GAA and .984 SV. If he keeps a streak like this going, and stays near those numbers… It’s not going to happen, but even something like 1.5 and a .940 is elite.

That third line though. Towards the end I thought Kero should go down, and I was right. Look at what this kid Rasmussen can do. Goals in 2/3, plus assists. He makes Bryan Bickell better. He plays well with Andrew Shaw. I like Moose.

Kane’s lucky he extended his streak past Crosby. A secondary assist? But he did it. And it shows just how much Kane deserves the Hart, and will likely end up with a few more awards as well. Kane’s better than Crosby this season. That’s a fact. Is Kane better than Crosby in 2010? Different debate. Taking it milestone by milestone, Kane’s next big marker for the streak is Sundin at 30.

This defense, even with Overachiever Rundblad (that’s what he’s doing right now. He’s overachieving. We’ve seen his potential. This is past it.)  Is solidifying. Trevor Van Reimsdyk is becoming Q’s favorite kid. More minutes than Hjammer and Seabs last night. I’m sure thats a ray of sunshine for our future, because it’s finally proving Q can develop kids.

I really like Trevor Daley in a limited role. Around 15 minutes on ice, I’d actually like for him to be playing. He can get into the attack zone like nobody else on our defense, and it adds another threat to scoring chances. I would just like for him to get his first goal. Especially a GWG.

Mashinter, despite my repeated dislike, is trying his darndest to prove me wrong. I like that. Keep it going, we’ll see you on the three stars.
