It’s Midnight Cinderella … Western Confernce Finals Game 3

The Blues clocks have hit midnight. They’re turning back into the homely hand maiden, or more accurately in this case the dirty dirty frog, that they truly are. Ain’t no Prince gonna come save this princess.

The Blues didn’t play well at all. At any aspect of the game. Brian Elliott was pulled again. The offense just never got going, and Martin Jones is getting amped. The defense, which beat the Blackhawks and the Stars, better teams than the Blues, is nowhere to be seen. San Jose had a better test versus Nashville.

On the other end of the ice, the Sharks are developing quite the playlist, going from Tina Turner last game to what I consider their Marvin Gaye game – “Let’s Get It On” or “Sexual Healing” readers choice.

The locker room for San Jose must be pumping. Every member of the team is willing to step up, and last nights heroes were Tomas Hertl and Martin Jones. Jones continues to be a spectacular player for the Sharks, and Hertl stepping up shows that the first line is not just the Joe(s) Show.

The Sharks look like a team that is going places. The Blues looks like a team that has run out of gas. After tough series against both the Blackhawks and Stars, who can blame them. They’ve played 14 vs. the Sharks 12, out of which the Sharks dominated 7. The Blues are a team that has played very close to their opponent the last two series, and that just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Its been a tough road for St. Louis, and they’ve only made it harder on themselves. The Sharks were the best road team in the regular season and the best home team in these playoffs. Now, the Blues must find a way to beat the Sharks who now have incredible momentum.
