The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Oilers

Three Stars:

1. Teuvo “Fresh Prince” Teravainen

2. Jonathon “I Can Score Again” Toews

3. Marian “DemiGod” Hossa

Welcome back first line. They scored most of the points in last night’s game, and though I didn’t get the line hat trick I wanted so badly, they are one of the reasons the team one. Maybe the reason, if it wasn’t for Corey Vezina-mode Crawford having yet another shutout (that’s three in four).

Seriously, it’s like Crawford is finally playing up to his potential and is angry about everything. I love it.

Artemi Panarin scored again. The Russian Haymaker is able to score now that there is no more streak and he doesn’t feel the need to get Kane the puck. That’s part of the reason it ended versus the Avalanche.

The game also showed what I’ve preached for months: if you allow lines to play together more than a game they will produce. Sometimes the Blender needs a rest.

This team is able to dominate bad teams. If we stop playing down to competition, we’re gonna keep winning. And it’s about time.

See you next game. Scuderi doesn’t suck.
