Brent Seabrook has really impressed me this season. There’s something about the way he’s been playing and the fact he has beaten his previous career bests, plus the fact he was solid and reliable for the stretch Keith missed, it really seems like he’s been better than Keith this season. He’s earning the contract. Let’s get into it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Predators 2/25
I suppose the biggest news isn’t the result of this game, but we’ll get to that. I don’t like the annual throttle back. But it’s become a tradition so we don’t tire our guys out. I guess we have a long late spring ahead of us. Let’s get into it.
Our Shaw Bias
We at Brightside are now formally recognizing our bias towards Andrew Shaw, and in this article we will state our reasons why in an attempt to move past it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Rangers 2/17
Well that was a game. We can’t decide if we want to be on a losing streak or on a winning streak and the second line is still the best in hockey. Panarin continues to be the most dominant rookie in hockey and Shaw continues to be a first liner. Let’s get into it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Maple Leafs 2/15
Wow. So it’s hard for me to believe I doubted this game. I also wish, like Pat, that we would play Toronto more. They’re our anti-Colorado, they’re a slump buster. Seven goals by seven different players. Let’s get into it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Ducks 2/13
So… the only Hawk who wanted you to have a truly happy Valentine’s Day was Brent Seabrook. Everybody else doesn’t believe in the corporate holiday. The Blackhawks dropped a third straight game and also will be missing Marian Hossa the next few weeks. Let’s get into it.
Trade Deadline
As the trade deadline approaches I would like to look at what makes sense for each team. These are who each team should look at buying and selling. In addition, at the bottom, are my best moves that may or may not happen this trade deadline.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Stars 2/12
Well. In a postgame interview, Q called this an “uncharacteristic” loss. I completely agree. I also can’t say this result surprised me. As soon as I found out Panarin was out for this game I knew it was one for the loss column. The Blackhawks need a spark and they haven’t found it.
The Morning After… Blackhawks vs. Sharks 2/9
I could tell after the refs called no goal on what was rightfully a goal that we were losing this game. I just expected a goal out of it. Nope.
Dion Phaneuf Trade
This may possibly be the biggest move made this trade deadline. The impact of it could be felt for years… and could lead to a championship for Toronto. In this article, we explain why.
